Why Meta

Google captures demand. Meta creates it. Most businesses need both — at different stages.

Our approach

How we make Meta Ads perform

01
Full-funnel structure, not one flat campaign
Cold audiences who've never heard of you need a different message and often a different format to someone who's already visited your site twice. We structure campaigns around awareness, consideration and conversion stages, with distinct creative, offer and call-to-action at each, instead of running one generic campaign at everyone and hoping the algorithm sorts it out.
02
Creative that earns attention, then tests systematically
On Meta, the ad creative functions as the primary targeting signal because the delivery algorithm optimises toward whoever engages with it. We develop several genuinely distinct creative concepts rather than minor colour variations of one idea, test them against each other with real budget, and roll the winners forward while retiring the rest, keeping a rotation fresh enough that frequency doesn't outpace performance.
03
Track outcomes the algorithm can actually use
Reach and impressions tell you nothing about commercial value, and pixel data alone is increasingly incomplete. We implement the Conversions API alongside the pixel so server-side events fill the gaps that browser tracking misses, define the specific conversion events worth optimising toward (a qualified lead, not just any form fill), and report against those, not vanity reach numbers.
04
Retargeting sequenced by intent, not repetition
Most people don't convert on the first visit, but hitting everyone with the same ad on repeat just burns frequency and annoys the audience. We segment retargeting by depth of engagement and time since last visit, sequence the message and offer accordingly (a reminder for a fresh visitor, a stronger incentive for someone who abandoned checkout days ago), and cap frequency so the same creative doesn't wear out the audience.
05
Advantage+ and algorithmic audiences used deliberately
Meta's automated audience expansion tools can outperform manual interest targeting once there's enough conversion data feeding them, but used too early, with too little signal, they can just spend budget broadly with no efficiency gain. We introduce broader, algorithm-led audiences at the point where the account has genuine conversion volume to guide them, and keep manual, interest-based targeting where the signal isn't there yet.

FAQ

Common questions

Meta works especially well when there's a visual or emotionally engaging story to tell, for consumer products, services with a clear before-and-after, and demand generation where the audience doesn't yet know they have the problem you solve. It's less suited to businesses whose buyers only ever search reactively when a need arises; that's usually a stronger fit for Google Ads. We assess this against your actual sales cycle and audience before recommending it.

Google Ads captures demand that already exists, someone typing a specific search because they have an active need right now. Meta Ads generates demand by reaching people based on interests, behaviour and lookalike modelling before they've started actively searching, which makes it stronger for awareness and consideration but means conversion timelines and attribution windows tend to be longer. Many businesses run both, using Meta to build the audience Google Ads later captures at the point of search.

We provide creative direction, concept development and can produce ad creative in-house, or work with your existing brand assets and photography. Either way we test multiple genuinely different concepts rather than relying on a single hero asset, since creative fatigue is one of the biggest drivers of rising cost per result on Meta.

We implement the Conversions API alongside the standard pixel so server-side data fills in what browser-based tracking now misses due to iOS App Tracking Transparency and ad blockers. We also check event match quality regularly, since poor matching between reported events and real Facebook users degrades optimisation even when the pixel is technically firing.

Enough for each ad set to exit the learning phase (roughly 50 optimisation events within a week) and enough to test more than one creative concept and audience simultaneously without starving each one of data. We recommend a starting budget based on your target cost per lead and typical conversion rate, then reallocate toward what the data shows once there's a reliable signal.

It depends on audience size and spend level, but performance typically starts to decay once frequency climbs and the same audience has seen an ad repeatedly. We monitor frequency and relative performance decline rather than refreshing on a fixed calendar schedule, so creative gets replaced when the data says it's needed, not on an arbitrary timeline.
